Paper Patchwork cards 6 May

 

Blue squares

Mock stitch lines are done with pencil and ruler. I have used the scallops as a guide for even spacing. Wrap the ribbon around the white layer before you stick the layers together.

Brown and rust flower

Colour petal edges with pale promarker like sandstone, putty or tan. Cut centre tips if required to allow tight packing of petals. Stick 4 large buff and 4 large rusty coloured petals to small white circle. Cut the remaining 4 large petals in half (width ways) to fill in gaps after you have layered up small petals. The 2 die cut petals will hide the centre.

Butterfly

Chalk to edges of sentiment tag. Platinum stickles to butterfly body.

Black star

Snip tips of segments in centre if required for good fit.

Mustard flower

Glue tips of 4 large petals and stick to small white circle. Fill in gaps with the other 4 large petals repeat process for small petals then apply the 2 die cut flowers to centre. Edges of petals colour with mustard promarker or mustard seed ink. Edges Mustard seed ink or chalk.

ROSE – rose pink and marsh green.

 

Cake card

Oval flowers – marsh green leaves, vase grey squirrel, flowers peony, cardinal red, sunflower yellow, magenta, spring lilac, cerise, any combination of pinks and purples would be fine. Chalk edges and sakura clear pen to vase.

Painted brown flower – Stick one flower head to card, paint with mica powder. Stick green stem on then other flower head.

  

RED spotty- apply petroleum jelly through aperture to 2 end panels then dry before doing middle panel, colour with black soot distress ink, dry with heat gun, apply red dots with festive berries ink on a pencil rubber, dry with heat gun. Flower berry red and marsh green, ice grey 2 to flower centre. Chalk to edges. Black glaze pen to flower centre.

Red Heart Card

Pearl moon gilding wax to embossed border.

Orange flower card

Flower graphit 5220 or heatwave and sunflower or canary. Spiced marmalade ink or chalk to edges of flower.

Tulips in a boot

Boot burnt sienna, laces fine orange whisper pen, shoe soles sandstone. Tulips marsh green and tulip yellow.

Black and silver dress

Pearl moon gilding wax to frame before attaching to card.

Tulip

Picked raspberry ink or chalk to edges. Be careful with ink as it is very juicy and has a bright pigment .

Peach flower card

Tattered rose ink or chalk to edges and tips of decorative bits.

Cake

Barn door and mustard seed ink or chalk. Flame needs to be drawn with fine orange pen. Sakura clear pen to flame centre.

Easter card

 Chalk to edges of sentiment.

Black Box

Buff box with gold decoration

Brown box with mustard decoration

Wild Geranium

Apple cider, wild cranberry. Edges antique linen ink or chalk. Sakura black glaze pen to centre of flower.

Typewriter card

Edges colour with black pen, chalk or ink. Cut a slit for the paper to go through. Curl the paper around a pencil.

 

Pansies

Canary yellow, amethyst, marsh green, orchid. Chalk edges. Sakura pen in centre of flowers.

11 March Backgrounds

Trio of bags

Cornflower, pear green or moss, pineapple crush or mustard, hot pink. Chalk edges.

 Thinking of you

Shabby shutters ink in centre and faded jeans outer edge. Sakura clear pen on grasses. Frame edge is done with a fine black pen. Edge peel off umber.

Rose Card

Blend cardinal red and plum preserve or graphit pens 5240 and 6150. Chalk edges. Background is bundled sage ink.

Black and red

Background is stamped with perfect medium with silver cosmic shimmer mica powder or perfect pearls on top.

Gerbra Card

Flowers heatwave and sunflower or canary, stems marsh green and lime,

Antique linen and wild honey ink – don't scrub too hard as the text will bleed. Flower centre micro beads applied on top of cosmic shimmer glue.. Use a tray as the beads go everywhere!

Canary yellow or tulip for tulips, leaves apple cider or marsh green, pages satin with china blue edges, ribbon sunflower, cross burnt orange with sakura clear pen on top, butterfly body walnut or chestnut, outer edges heatwave, inner vanilla and stripes amber., edges chalk.

Fuchsia

Marsh green leaves, tops of flowers meadow green, flowers wild cranberry and lavender, edges milled lavender ink or chalk.
